This week, we spoke to Abbie from the United Kingdom about their experience as a L'Oréal Expert. Let’s hear what they had to say…

Tell us a bit about yourself

My name is Abbie and I am from the United Kingdom. I am 32 years old and a proud mother to 3 children. When I am not working with Limitless as a L'Oréal Expert, I’m a retail sales assistant. I have also recently finished an apprenticeship in hairdressing and barbering. I am now the “go to” person for hair in my family!

What brands do you answer questions for and why do you love them? 

I am an Expert for L'Oréal Paris and Garnier. This is a fantastic experience, as these are brands that I have grown up with and worked with professionally in salons. They are brands that I trust and I am happy to put money into because they value their customers and listen to them. Before becoming a Brand Ambassador for these companies, I would regularly recommend them to friends and family because I always knew I could trust them.

What do you like about being an Expert?

There are several great things about being an Expert, it is hard to only pick a few. One thing I love in particular however, is how easy it is to use the platform. It is very accessible which meant that it was easy for me to settle in once I started. 

It is also great for earning extra money. It came in handy, especially during the pandemic, as my retail hours were cut because the industry struggled to cope. This made working very difficult. However with Limitless, I can work from my home, in my pajamas if I really wanted to, and still get paid! This flexibility and financial security is really important to me. 

Finally, I love helping people on their hair journeys. Hair is a passion of mine and I want to go back into it once my children are older. Being an Expert is a great way to stay connected with my passion. 

When and how do you answer questions the most?

Whenever I want is the simplest answer! If I have a spare 10 minutes, I will check the platform. More often than not there is something to do, whether that’s review a query or respond to one I am already dealing with. I mainly use my laptop as it is easier to perform certain actions, like providing links to consumers, but I do also use my phone if I am out all day. Either way is very accessible to use so it really depends on my schedule. 

How are you planning to spend your earnings?

I have managed to earn a lot of money through the platform so far. It helped me pay for the new puppy I have just bought and all of the associated vet fees. It also helped me buy a new fridge-freezer. 

With the cost of living rising dramatically, it will be helping our family pay the bills going forward.
